PETANGADY is an online marketplace for livestock — cows, bulls and buffaloes — built for the farmers and traders of Tamil Nadu.
Why we built it
Selling an animal has always meant loading it into a vehicle, travelling to a santhai, and trusting a broker you may never see again. Buying one means the same journey, with cash in your pocket. A good cow three districts away may as well not exist.
We thought a farmer in Kangeyam should be able to show his bull to a buyer in Coimbatore without either of them leaving home — and that the money should be safe for both of them while it happens.
How a trade works here
Your money is not handed to a stranger. Petangady holds it, and the seller is paid only after the animal reaches you.
You can book a farm visit and see the animal in person before you commit to anything.
If the animal is not what the listing said it was, our 7-day return policy applies.
Listing an animal is free. You need a mobile number, not paperwork.
The language we work in
Everything here — the listings, the payment screens, the messages we send you on WhatsApp — works in Tamil and in English. Tamil is not a translation added afterwards. It is the language this site opens in.
Who we are
Petangady is operated by Tukar Eco Tech Private Limited, from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. We are a small company and we are early. That has one advantage worth knowing about: when you write to us, you reach the people who build this, not a call centre.
